Dempsey “Bud” and Barbara Tomlinson founded Tomlinson Asphalt Company in 1974. It was a humble beginning with plenty of room for growth. As Northwest Arkansas began expanding and growing, Tomlinson Asphalt followed along and has now developed into a multi-million dollar business with over 40 employees.

We started out working on small driveways and parking lots when Fayetteville and the surrounding area was fairly small. Since then we have grown with the community into a full service heavy construction company. Our services now include earthwork excavation and fill operations, exterior concrete including curb and gutter and sidewalks, storm drainage installation, aggregate base installation, and asphalt paving from driveways to large commercial developments and street construction projects. We are licensed as a heavy construction company and self perform 95% of all work we have under contract.

Tomlinson Asphalt Co., Inc. is a well-recognized and highly respected construction firm in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. We have worked hard to establish and maintain a company based on honesty and integrity in our work and credibility in our management.

A main goal of the founder was to provide good, stable employment for our workers and a way for long term employment to contribute to the successful development of Northwest Arkansas. In recent years we have seen an exponential growth in Northwest Arkansas. Tomlinson Asphalt Company has been a partner in much of that growth. We will continue to be competitive in the construction market and well diversified in our scope of work to accommodate our clients needs. We are a profitable company and are committed to helping Northwest Arkansas grow in the years to come.
